Privacy policy

Who we are

Wick & Whittle (this site) is published by Type 5 Marketing LLC. For any question about this policy, or to ask us to delete information we hold about you, write to info@wickandwhittle.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you type into it, plus a phone number if you choose to add one. That message is emailed to us and stored in our email account. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not add contact-form addresses to any mailing list.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get read and how people arrive. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, your device type and browser, and whether you arrived from a search engine or a link. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this.

Information we do not collect. We do not ask for or store payment details — every purchase happens on Amazon, not here. We have no user accounts, no logins and no profiles. We do not run advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or social-media tracking pixels on this site.

When you click a buy button here, you are sent to Amazon through a redirect on this domain that appends our Amazon Associates tracking tag. That tag tells Amazon the visit came from this site so a commission can be attributed. It does not transmit anything about you to us — we receive aggregate earnings reports from Amazon, never individual customer identities, addresses or order contents.

Once you are on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy policy governs everything that happens there, including any cookies Amazon sets. We have no visibility into and no control over that.

Cookies

Analytics cookies
Set by Google Analytics 4 to distinguish one visit from another and measure traffic. You can block them with a browser setting, a content blocker, or Google's own opt-out browser add-on, and the site will work normally without them.
Affiliate cookies
Set by Amazon after you arrive on Amazon, not by us. They are how Amazon attributes a purchase to a referring site.
Cookies we do not set
No advertising cookies, no retargeting cookies, no social-network cookies, no cross-site profiling of any kind.

Who else sees your information

Three service providers process data on our behalf: Google (Analytics), Vercel (hosting — which means standard server logs including IP addresses), and Microsoft (the email service that delivers contact-form messages to us). Each processes data under its own terms.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not pass contact-form messages to any maker, seller or third party.

How long we keep it

Contact-form emails are kept as long as they are useful for handling your enquiry and any follow-up, and are deleted on request. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Analytics, after which Google deletes it. Server logs are retained by Vercel under its own schedule.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to its processing. Residents of the EU and UK have these rights under the GDPR; California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

To exercise any of these, email info@wickandwhittle.com. In practice the only personal information we are likely to hold about you is a contact-form message, and we will delete it on request.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
